Recorder lessons

I chose to play the recorder professionally because I love the sound of the instrument and I adore the repertoire. Lessons may include very early medieval and renaissance repertoire, classic baroque music or contemporary pieces with weird and wonderful extended techniques.

I have taught in many London schools, the University of Hull, Tower Hamlets Centre for Young Musicians and currently teach at Eton College, Marlborough College and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

All ages and abilities are welcome - my youngest student was aged 4 and my oldest in her 80s. As well as giving lessons to children I also teach many people who have retired and enjoy music as a hobby.

Full preparation is offered for grade exams and diplomas.

Music theory lessons

Lessons are offered in preparation for the music theory grade exams. Handy tips for passing the all important grade 5 theory (which is required for practical music exams from grade 6+ with ABRSM).
